Origin and Evolution

IEx

Associação IEx Certificações is a Brazilian company founded in Rio de Janeiro in October 2008, specializing in the product certification market.

Leveraging the extensive expertise of its founding partners in the oil sector, machinery industry, laboratories, and certification bodies, IEx initially focused on electrical equipment for hazard location.

On March 10, 2009, Associação IEx was accredited by Inmetro’s General Accreditation Coordination under Registration No. OCP 0064.

In late 2010, the company relocated to Alphaville (Barueri/SP) and acquired the Fundação Vanzolini’s certified products, including plugs and sockets, switches, adapters, wires and cables, electrical installations, and electromedical equipment.

In 2011, IEx expanded its certification scope to include a broader range of products such as household appliances, computer goods, ballasts, circuit breakers, LED lamps, lighting fixtures, ovens, fans, and sound power. This expansion allowed IEx to operate comprehensively within the electrical and electronics sector.

Recognized as an independent, medium-sized Brazilian company, IEx is committed to excellence through financial stability and ongoing development of its professional team.
